Wild Rose Visitor Center

Governmental, New Construction, Preservation Planning, Public - 2008

About The Project

As part of the restoration and expansion of this Wisconsin State Fish Hatchery at Wild Rose, Isthmus Architecture was retained by HDR to design a new education building to better engage a wider visitor demographic. The center, 4,400 square feet in area, provides a fully accessible destination for learning, meeting and presentations, an interactive gallery and public restrooms. The metal-frame building features a distinctive timber canopy, an architectural motif that was then used throughout the hatchery expansion.
