Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin
Forensic Assessment, Non-Profit Advocacy, Preservation Planning - 2005-2006
About The Project
Isthmus Architecture was contracted to provide Taliesin Preservation, Inc. with a Master Plan for Taliesin that will lead to the restoration of the building and immediate grounds. Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright’s residence in Spring Green, Wisconsin, stands as the most personal representation of the great American architect’s work. Wright worked on Taliesin’s construction, reconstruction and continual expansions from its initial construction in 1911 until his death in 1959. The long-term goal is to preserve and stabilize this National Historic Landmark. The Master Plan, partially funded by a Save America’s Treasure Grant, provides recommendations, priorities, budgeting and scheduling for accomplishing the stabilization and necessary preservation work.
